Growth Hub Update – April 2025

Video Transcript

Hello and welcome to the April edition of the Worcestershire Growth Hub newsletter. Now, as we embark upon a new financial year, business support programs are in a state of flux locally, regionally and nationally as partners close down existing programs and prepare to launch new offers in 25/26 with revised funding streams. Whilst business support continues to be available from April 2025, it’s likely to be after Easter, when the Growth Hub and partners will be able to fully articulate the new offer and communicate this to local businesses. Watch this space for details and events which we will deliver in partnership with funding partners. But in the meantime, please contact the team via the details shown on screen. If you’d like to understand existing support or if you have any enquiries.

Last month, we delivered the 2025 LEP conference The Big Conversation. It was great to see so many local businesses in the room getting involved in discussions around business support, technology and innovation and skills across the county. It served as a great showcase for celebrating achievements of some of our local businesses and helping to inform the future work program of the team into 25/26 and beyond. A big thank you to all of those businesses which took part.

DEFRA has announced some new funding which may be of interest to Worcestershire businesses in the agri and land sectors. The new ADOPT funding is designed to support on farm tests and trials that enhance profitability, productivity and sustainability for farmers, growers and foresters across England. This funding opportunity will open in spring 2025, and grants will be available to fund projects of between £50,000 to £100,000 in size. To help businesses prepare, Innovate UK is hosting an informative webinar for businesses to learn more about this opportunity, the eligibility and how this funding can benefit your agricultural business. To find out more and register your place, please visit the link in the newsletter.

Local businesses interested in accessing business support and expert advice to grow their business, or simply connect with like minded professionals can access the Growth Hub’s events calendar. This is a go to resource for upcoming workshops, networking opportunities and support sessions tailored for businesses that are being delivered by partners across the county. Don’t miss out and stay ahead of the curve by exploring the calendar, and the link again can be found within the newsletter.

There’s plenty more support to find out about within the newsletter, and if you’d like to learn more about accessing any of it, please contact the team via the details shown on screen and we’ll see you next time.
