Hello, and welcome to the August Worcestershire Growth Hub newsletter. Whether you’re back from the beach or still counting down to your holiday, we’ve got some exciting news and opportunities to share with you.
The first thing I’d like to do this month is to remind businesses about the funding support that’s available to you. We know that there are many challenges facing businesses at the moment, but working in partnership with the local authorities here in Worcestershire, there are a number of business grants that are available. Since April more than 40 businesses have received vital support through these grant programs, and you could do too. Grants and funding are available to support local growth, spark innovation and create new employment opportunities. Grant values range from £1000 to £30,000 and are available on a match funded basis. I’d like to also draw your attention to an event that the Growth Hub team is delivering in partnership with the local ISO experts, ISO Quality Services Limited. These are running in September over two dates, but you actually only need to attend one of them and have been designed to help local businesses understand the upcoming changes expected to ISO quality standards 9001 and 14,001. These events can help businesses with those accreditations, or those that are looking to get the accreditation, to understand what the changes will mean for them and how to use that compliance as a competitive advantage.
