Growth Hub Update – February 2025

Video Transcript

Roses are red, violets are blue and the Worcestershire Growth Hub is here to support businesses like you. Hello and welcome to the February edition of the Worcestershire Growth Hub newsletter.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, the team have been busy showering love and support to all of our businesses around Worcestershire and supporting with the delivery of Worcestershire TechFest, and other events around the county. To start this month’s update

I’m pleased to announce the return of the Worcestershire LEP’s annual flagship event, Worcestershire: The BIG Conversation. The conference is taking place on the 13th of March at the University of Worcester Arena. The Big Conversation offers networking opportunities, valuable insights into the projects and initiatives taking place across Worcestershire and a chance to voice your ideas. Helping to shape the LEP’s discussions at local, regional and national levels. Worcestershire: The BIG Conversation will be split into three key themes, talent and skills, innovation and business support. Offering valuable discussions that will influence Worcestershire’s economic landscape. There are limited spaces available for this event, and I urge you to reserve your free place by following the link in the newsletter.

Next up, I’d like to highlight that this is the last chance for Worcestershire businesses to register their places for the Worcestershire Apprenticeship and Business Support Roadshows 2025. These are taking place during National Apprenticeships Week, which runs the 10th of the 14th of February. These sessions, happening all around the county, offer 1 to 1 support from the Worcestershire Apprenticeships team to explore how apprenticeships can address workforce challenges and drive growth, and provide updates on the broader business support that’s available from the Worcestershire Growth Hub. More information about the sessions schedule, location and how to register can be found within the newsletter.

And for the final update of this month’s newsletter, the 51% club is coming to Worcester. With a growing community of over 600 women. This is a free community for female founders that was first launched in Birmingham in spring 2024. This group aims to help women scale and empower female founders to grow their business and demonstrate the strength of female entrepreneurship. The Worcester launch, in partnership with Real World Consultancy, offers networking opportunities, inspiration from other entrepreneurs and an insight of other events the 51% club is bringing throughout the year. If you’d like to find out more about this event and connect with other like minded individuals, then please follow the link in the newsletter. I trust you’ll find value in reviewing this month’s update.

There is plenty more support to find out within the newsletter, and if you’d like to learn more about accessing any of the support that’s been mentioned, then please contact the team via the details shown on the screen. And we’ll see you next time.
