Growth Hub Update – January 2025

Hello and welcome to the first update of 2025 from the Worcestershire Growth Hub. Now, whilst it may feel like a distant memory already, I do hope that many of you managed to get some well-deserved downtime during the festive period and take a break away from your businesses, if only for a short time. And I’m sure you’re now fully invigorated and ready for the challenges of 2025.

And with that in mind, I’d like to start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year on behalf of the entire team here at the Worcestershire Growth Hub. We are very fortunate to get to work with so many amazing businesses that are doing incredible things here right across Worcestershire. And as we step into 2025, the team is excited to continue supporting existing businesses that we already have a relationship with, as well as welcoming more businesses into the fold,
looking to grow and make Worcestershire thrive. The new year brings fresh opportunities, innovative ideas and plenty of ways to grow and succeed together.

So here we go. The Worcestershire Growth Hub and Worcestershire Apprenticeship teams are hosting a series of events during National Apprenticeship Week, which is taking place during the 10th and 14th of February. These events will explore how apprenticeships can help to address some of the workforce challenges that are faced by businesses and help to drive growth. These events will provide tailored advice and insights on leveraging apprenticeships to meet business need. There are sessions being held in various locations across the county. Therefore, local businesses can choose the session that fits their schedule. To understand how to unlock the potential of apprenticeships, learn more about the wider business support on offer and grow their business. Find out more about timings and locations through the link in the newsletter.

Local businesses can also register their places at the GJS Dillon Worcestershire Commercial Property Market Report 2025 launch event. A bit of a mouthful, that one’s taking place on the 12th of February at the Sixways Stadium. Businesses in attendance can expect an insightful morning with updates and regional insights for office and industrial markets, followed by a Q&A session, refreshments and networking opportunities with other professionals within the property industry. If you’d like to find out more and register for this event, please follow the link in the newsletter.

Entries are now also open for the UK Government’s Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards for 2025. These national awards celebrate the exporting success of small businesses in the UK, and include a vast package of prizes for the winners. There are a variety of categories to choose from, and businesses have until the 9th of March to register their entrance. More information about the awards, categories and prizes can be found within the link in the newsletter, and it would be great to see some Worcestershire businesses putting themselves forward.

The Worcestershire Growth Hub team is supporting a series of events throughout January and February to help businesses in the county to navigate and access the varied and often complex landscape of business support that’s available in the area. If you’d like to find out more about the events happening all around Worcestershire again, please visit the link in the newsletter.

I hope you enjoy and find value in listening to this month’s update. There’s plenty more support to find out about within the newsletter, and if you’d like to learn more about accessing any of the support that’s been referenced, please contact the team via the details shown on screen. See you next time.
