Growth Hub Update – November 2025

Video Transcript

Hello and welcome to the November edition of the Worcestershire Business Support Newsletter. Brought to you by the Worcestershire Growth Hub and Worcestershire County Council. This newsletter brings together all of the business support news and events into one place to help your business access the support, you need to grow in the county.

It has been another busy month for the team as we’ve been out and about at events, meeting with and supporting local businesses. This month we’ve had Global Entrepreneurship Week, and it was great to host an event dedicated to supporting local startup and early stage businesses. We also had the annual Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards, which were hosted at West Midlands Safari Park. Once again, this was a great showcase championing the role apprenticeships play in our local economy and we’d like to express our huge congratulations to all the finalists and winners, including Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Barrie Beard Ltd. If your business would like to utilize apprenticeships to recruit or upskill, please be sure to contact the Growth Hub team who can help you understand more about how this can work for you.

Looking ahead, there are a couple of things I’d like to flag in this newsletter before we hit the Christmas period.

Firstly, as many of you will be only too aware, we have the UK government’s budget announcement coming. And for businesses wanting to know what the budget means for your business. There are a couple of events being held which you can book on to to get expert advice and guidance on the announcements coming out of the budget. More information on those events can be found in the newsletter.

The team have also launched plans for Worcestershire Tech Fest 2026, the county’s innovation and technology festival, bringing together businesses, academia and the public sector to celebrate, showcase and discuss the latest technologies and innovations happening right here in Worcestershire. Plans for 2026 are already gathering momentum, so make sure you have a read of the article and visit the website to find out more and to register.

There are also a few events coming up before Christmas across a range of business topics, which you can find and book onto via the Growth Hub website, so make sure to have a look at that web page to see what might be of interest to your business.

As usual, there’s plenty more going on and there’s more that you can read about within the newsletter, but remember to check our website, visit our events portal and engage with the team to make sure your business is getting the support it needs to grow. We’ll see you next time.
