Over 40 businesses gathered at the Life Beyond School INclusive Careers Event to host the first INclusive Worcestershire Leaders Forum.
The forum, delivered by the INclusive Worcestershire team, part of the Worcestershire County Council, Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire Growth Hub, brought together HR employees at over 40 businesses from across the county to discuss the inclusive agenda and the support needed for employers.
By fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, organisations unlock a wider pool of talent, drive innovation, and improve employee satisfaction. The forum was attended by Worcestershire organisations who have recognised these benefits and have embraced inclusive practices to strengthen their workforce and businesses.
These INclusive Worcestershire Leaders were also celebrated at the forum for their efforts, with 18 new leaders awarded INclusive Worcestershire Leader status.
The forum discussed where further support was needed to help more employers to become INclusive, with the attendees also hearing from the Worcestershire Growth Hub team about the wider business support and funding available to help businesses grow.
The forum was hosted alongside the Life Beyond School INclusive Careers Event – an annual event run by the Worcestershire County Council and Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership to help those with additional needs and Education, Health and Care Plans to understand the career and training options available to them in the county.
The 2024 Life Beyond School event was very well attended with the support of many local businesses, schools and training providers.
