Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, has launched a new funding competition focused on digital and data-driven innovations that help UK manufacturing businesses reduce energy usage and resource waste.
This grant is part of the Manufacturing Made Smarter Innovation programme and aims to support short-term feasibility projects that lead to long-term efficiency and cost savings across UK industry.

- Application Deadline: 2 July 2025, 11:00am
- Funding Available: £25,000 to £100,000 per project
- Project Duration: 3 to 6 months
- Project Start Date: No earlier than 1 October 2025
- Project End Date: By 31 March 2026
- Eligible Applicants: UK-registered businesses of any size. Collaboration with academia or RTOs allowed.
Project Themes May Include:
- Reducing heat loss or improving heat recovery
- Improving compressor, vacuum, or pumping systems
- Reducing waste and optimising packaging processes
- Deploying sensors, real-time data monitoring, or predictive maintenance
