Pitching competition for deep tech entrepreneurs

Local deep technology entrepreneurs are being made aware of a free pitching competition to help expand connections into Japan and the wider ASEAN region.

Deep tech businesses are invited to apply for TECH PLANTER in the UK 2025, an international startup support programme returning to London this November. Designed to help early-stage ventures with science-based technologies scale and commercialise, TECH PLANTER offers access to funding, mentoring, and international industry connections.

TECH PLANTER, launched by Leave a Nest in 2014, TECH PLANTER is a global platform supporting startups in fields such as biotechnology, agriculture, medical technology, drones, and IoT. Since its inception, it has supported over 3,000 teams across Japan, Southeast Asia, and the UK.

The programme provides startups with tailored support in areas including prototyping, intellectual property strategy, investment readiness, and access to Japan’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem. It is particularly well-suited to deep tech ventures seeking to solve real-world problems and bring scientific innovations to market.

The TECH PLANTER competition offers startups an opportunity to gain visibility and validation in front of leading multinational corporations, venture capital firms, and key players in the global innovation ecosystem. This year marks the second TECH PLANTER World in the UK, following successful events in previous years.

Nine finalists will be selected to pitch their innovations during a Demo Day in London on 1st November 2025.

Application Deadline: 5th September 2025 (23:59 GMT)

Local startups with a passion for solving tough challenges through science and technology are strongly encouraged to apply.
