Worcestershire County Council is hosting the annual Foster Carers’ Celebration in October, as part of its ongoing commitment to support foster carers and is looking for the support of local businesses.
The Worcestershire County Council are looking for the support of local businesses to help sponsor the gift hampers. This year, the County Council aims to gift 350 hampers to foster carers as a token of gratitude.
This is a chance to show appreciation to individuals who provide loving homes to children in need.
Each hamper costs just under £35 and contains ethically sourced products that create a positive social impact. An example of some of the products include:
- Divine Chocolate: A Fairtrade, farmer-owned company.
- Stand 4 Socks: A social enterprise donating socks to homeless people with every purchase
- Nemi Teas: Employing refugees and providing organic, plastic-free tea
- Ethstat Coffee & Hot Chocolate: Supporting people with dementia through Fairtrade profits.
- Recycled Coffee Bags: Made by prisoners at HMP Downview to aid their rehabilitation
These hampers are being prepared by Ethstat Ethical CIC, which offers meaningful employment to those turning their lives around, including the homeless, ex-addicts, and ex-offenders.
By contributing, businesses will support foster carers and champion social enterprises and sustainability.
Businesses can get involved in supporting and sponsoring in a variety of ways, including:
- Sponsoring a certain number of hampers
- Donating funds to help meet the £15,000 goal
- Fundraising to support this meaningful cause
Sponsoring these hampers demonstrates tangible contributions to social value and environmental well-being.
The supporting organisation’s name will also feature on a postcard inside the hampers as a valued contributor, showing their commitment to fostering positive change.
