Women Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition: Showcasing Female-Led Innovation in the West Midlands

Women Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition: Showcasing Female-Led Innovation in the West Midlands

Despite the West Midlands having the highest proportion of female-led companies in the UK, the number of businesses attracting angel investment is falling. According to The Gender Index, just 3.29% of female-led companies in the region have secured angel investment in 2025 so far, compared to 7% in 2024 (as of 1st July 2025).

The Women Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition has been launched to change this picture by giving high-potential, women-led businesses a platform to shine.

About the Competition

The event will see up to five women-led businesses pitch live to a panel of leading investors. Each founder will have the chance to:

  • Hone their pitching skills

  • Build valuable investor networks

At the end of the evening, the judges will select one business as their “One to Watch” and crown the winner of the competition.
